How Stockener collects, uses, and protects your information

Last updated: 22 March 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Stockener ("Stockener", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you access or use our web-based SaaS inventory management platform for Amazon FBA sellers (the "Service"), visit our websites, or otherwise interact with us. It also explains your rights and choices with respect to your personal data.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not access or use the Service.

1. Who we are and scope of this Policy

Stockener is an inventory management platform built for Amazon FBA sellers. Our application connects to your Amazon Seller account via the Amazon Selling Partner API ("SP-API") to synchronize inventory, shipment, and sales-related data across supported marketplaces (including EU, UK, US, CA, MX, JP, and AU).

This Privacy Policy applies to personal data we process as:

  • a data controller – in relation to account, billing, marketing, and website usage data about our customers and visitors; and
  • a data processor / service provider – in relation to certain data we process on behalf of our customers from Amazon SP-API and other connected services, in accordance with our agreement with you.

Our data processing practices are designed to comply with applicable data protection laws, including the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) where it applies, and relevant state privacy laws in the United States (such as the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, "CCPA"). Your specific rights may vary depending on your place of residence.

2. Personal data we collect

2.1. Account and contact information

When you sign up for Stockener, request a demo, or contact us, we may collect:

  • Name and contact details (such as email address and password)
  • Company name, role, and marketplace regions you sell in
  • Billing details (such as billing contact, address, VAT or tax ID, and limited payment-related information as required by our payment processor)
  • Communication preferences and correspondence with us

2.2. Amazon SP-API and connected account data

When you connect your Amazon Seller account to Stockener via Amazon SP-API, we access only the scopes necessary to provide our inventory management features. Depending on your configuration and Amazon’s API, this may include:

  • FBA inventory data, including stock on hand, reserved units, inbound shipments, and units in transit
  • Fulfillment center locations and marketplace identifiers (e.g., EU via European Fulfillment Network, UK, NA, FE regions)
  • Order and sales performance data used to calculate sales velocity, coverage timelines, and demand forecasts
  • Product catalog data such as ASINs, SKUs, titles, variants, and product families
  • Shipment and replenishment information used for coverage timeline and minimum-days calculations

We do not intentionally access or store customer payment card data or other sensitive categories of personal data via SP-API. To the extent Amazon data may contain personal data (for example, anonymized or masked buyer details in order records), we process such data strictly in accordance with our agreement with you and Amazon’s SP-API policies.

2.3. Usage data and technical information

Because Stockener is a web-based SaaS application, we automatically collect certain technical and usage information when you access the Service, including:

  • Log data, such as IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, language preferences (e.g., English or Spanish), date/time stamps, and the pages or features you access
  • Configuration and preference data, including theme settings (light or dark), notification preferences, and saved filters or views
  • Error logs, performance metrics, and diagnostic information to maintain and improve the Service

2.4. Integration and import/export data

Stockener supports CSV import/export, Google Sheets integration, and automatic data backup. When you use these features, we may process:

  • Inventory, product, and sales data contained in your CSV files or spreadsheets
  • Metadata needed to connect to Google Sheets or other third-party tools (such as OAuth tokens or integration identifiers, stored securely)
  • Backup copies of the data processed through the Service, subject to our retention practices

2.5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to provide and secure the Service, remember your preferences, and analyze usage. See the section "Cookies and tracking technologies" below for more detail and your choices.

3. How we use your data

We use the personal data we collect for the following purposes, in each case based on a valid legal basis under applicable law (such as performance of a contract, our legitimate interests, your consent, or compliance with a legal obligation):

  • To provide and operate the Service, including syncing inventory and order data from Amazon, calculating daily and peak sales velocity, coverage timelines, and replenishment recommendations.
  • To create and manage your account, authenticate you as a user, and personalize your experience (for example, storing your language and theme preferences).
  • To communicate with you about the Service, including onboarding, feature announcements, security alerts, and administrative messages.
  • To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries, feedback, or requests.
  • To monitor, maintain, and improve the Service, including troubleshooting, analytics, product development, and optimizing algorithms such as adaptive sales velocity calculations.
  • To process billing and payments, issue invoices, and manage subscriptions (through our payment processors).
  • To protect the security, integrity, and availability of the Service, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our terms and policies.
  • To comply with legal obligations, regulatory requirements, and requests from competent authorities.
  • With your consent, to send you marketing communications about Stockener and related services (you can opt out at any time).

4. Legal bases for processing (EEA/UK users)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data only where we have a valid legal basis to do so. This means we will collect and use your personal data only:

  • To perform our contract with you, such as providing access to the Stockener Service.
  • Where it is necessary for our legitimate interests (or those of a third party), and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests (for example, securing and improving the Service, preventing fraud, and analyzing product usage).
  • With your consent, where required (for example, for certain cookies or marketing communications). You can withdraw your consent at any time.
  • To comply with a legal obligation to which we are subject.

5. How we share personal data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data with the following categories of recipients, only as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and subject to appropriate contractual and security safeguards:

  • Service providers and vendors: Third-party providers that help us operate, secure, and support the Service (for example, hosting providers, database and backup services, analytics tools, email providers, and payment processors).
  • Integrations: Third-party services that you choose to connect to Stockener, such as Google Sheets or other data connectors. We share data with these services only as directed by you and according to their own privacy policies.
  • Amazon SP-API and related Amazon services: Our integration with Amazon involves data exchange with Amazon in accordance with Amazon’s SP-API terms and policies.
  • Professional advisors: Legal, accounting, or other professional advisors, where necessary for the provision of their services to us.
  • Corporate transactions: In connection with a merger, acquisition, restructuring, financing, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to continued protection consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • Legal and compliance: Competent courts, regulators, law enforcement, or other authorities where we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Stockener, our users, or others.

We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you, for example to provide benchmarks or usage statistics. Where we de-identify data, we will not attempt to re-identify it, and we will require our partners to do the same.

6. International data transfers

Stockener serves customers operating across multiple Amazon marketplaces, including EU, UK, North America, and Far East regions. Depending on your location, this may involve transferring your personal data to countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction (for example, transfers between the EEA/UK and the United States).

Where we transfer personal data from the EEA or UK to a country that has not been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection by the European Commission or UK authorities, we implement appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or UK International Data Transfer Addendum, and additional technical and organizational measures where necessary.

You can contact us using the details in the "Contact us" section if you would like more information about our international data transfer mechanisms.

7. Data retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including to provide the Service, comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

Because Stockener relies on historical order and inventory data to calculate daily and peak sales velocity and coverage timelines, we may retain synced data from Amazon for as long as your account is active, subject to your configuration and our backup policies. When you close your account or when we no longer need the data for the purposes described, we will either delete or irreversibly anonymize it, unless we are required to retain it for a longer period (for example, to comply with tax or accounting laws, enforce our agreements, or in connection with legal claims).

We may store backup copies of data for a limited period after deletion to provide continuity and disaster recovery. Backup copies are securely stored and are not used for active processing except where required for restoration or security purposes.

8. Data security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorized disclosure, or access. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, secure development practices, and regular backups of your data in line with our automatic backup features.

However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for ensuring that access to your account and devices is appropriately protected. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, please contact us immediately using the details in the "Contact us" section below so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

9. Cookies and tracking technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites and within the Stockener web application for several reasons:

  • Strictly necessary cookies to enable core functionality such as authentication, session management, and security.
  • Preference cookies to remember your settings and choices, including language (English or Spanish), theme (light or dark), and saved views.
  • Performance and analytics cookies to help us understand how the Service is used, diagnose errors, and improve usability and performance.
  • In some cases, marketing or attribution cookies on our marketing site to measure the effectiveness of campaigns, where permitted by law.

Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before placing non-essential cookies (such as certain analytics or marketing cookies) on your device. You can withdraw or modify your consent at any time using our cookie banner or your browser settings, though some parts of the Service may not function properly if you disable certain cookies.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on your location and subject to applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. These may include the right to:

  • Access: Request confirmation of whether we process your personal data and receive a copy of that data.
  • Rectification: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
  • Erasure: Request that we delete your personal data in certain circumstances (for example, where it is no longer needed or where you withdraw consent).
  • Restriction: Request that we restrict the processing of your personal data in certain circumstances.
  • Portability: Receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format and transmit it to another controller, where technically feasible.
  • Objection: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and, in some cases, object to processing for direct marketing purposes.
  • Consent withdrawal: Where we rely on your consent, withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint: File a complaint with your local data protection authority if you believe our processing violates applicable law.

If you are a user of Stockener and would like to exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in the "Contact us" section. We may need to verify your identity before responding to your request. In cases where we process data on behalf of an Amazon Seller or another customer, we may direct your request to the relevant customer, as they are typically the controller of that data.

11. Additional information for residents of certain U.S. states

If you are a resident of California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information under state law (such as the CCPA/CPRA for California residents). These rights are generally consistent with those described above and may include the right to:

  • Know what categories of personal information we collect, use, and disclose.
  • Access specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, where applicable (we do not sell your personal information).
  • Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights.

To exercise these rights, you can contact us using the methods listed in the "Contact us" section. We will verify your request consistent with applicable law. You may also be entitled to designate an authorized agent to make certain requests on your behalf, subject to verification of the agent’s authority.

12. Third-party services and links

The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services and may allow you to connect to third-party integrations (including Amazon SP-API, Google Sheets, and other tools). These third parties are not controlled by Stockener, and their processing of your data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms, not this Privacy Policy.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services you interact with, especially before connecting them to Stockener or sharing personal data with them. We are not responsible for the privacy, security, or practices of such third parties.

13. Children’s privacy

The Service is intended for business users (such as Amazon FBA sellers) and is not directed to children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 16 without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as possible. If you believe we might have any information from or about a child, please contact us using the details below.

14. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, by providing additional notice (such as within the Service or via email).

We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we collect, use, and protect your information. Your continued use of Stockener after any changes take effect will constitute your acknowledgment of the updated Privacy Policy.

15. Contact us

If you have any questions, concerns, or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or our data practices, you can contact us at:

Email: [email protected]
Subject line: "Privacy inquiry"

When you contact us, please provide sufficient detail to allow us to understand your request and respond appropriately. If you are exercising a legal right (for example, a request for access or deletion), we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity and your relationship with Stockener.
